½ pound salmon fillet
Grease pan with chosen Oil (pay attention to which oils are ok at high heats like grapeseed oil and coconut oil) and preheat oven to at least 400 degrees. Cover top side of fish lightly with oil and sprinkle with seasonings (you can use whatever seasonings you have on hand or prefer, Herbs de Provence happen to be my favorite). Cook for 15-20 min depending on the thickness of the fish (10 minutes per inch of fish thickness) and serve when fish has turned a light pink inside and out (as opposed to the darker orange it is when raw). If you like your fish crispy you can cook for a few minutes longer.
Sprinkle with lemon juice for added layer of flavor!
Side Note: I know I am trying to eat raw and vegan but I often find I crave a weekly amount of fish as animal protein and so I included a healthy fish recipe here. If you find yourself craving something that you do not usually eat, consider if it is something your body may need as a part of your diet. Not everyone is made to eat raw, vegan or vegetarian, but that does not mean that you cannot still be healthy!
