Sauteed Spinach

1 Cup fresh Spinach

1 Tbsp Onion, chopped

1 Tbsp Butter

Fresh ground Pepper and Sea Salt

 

I had some form of creamed spinach the other day that was just calling out to me, and lo and behold- Spinach in my CSA.  So I attempted to recreate it without flour or cream (yes  a sprinkle of cheese could not be avoided).  This is a five minute veggie dish that is so tasty with the simplest of ingredients.

1: heat the butter in a saute pan over medium low heat.

2: add onions to pan and stir to combine with melted butter.  Let onions cook until fragrant about 3 minutes, and then add spinach.  Stir to combine all ingredients and allow spinach to cook until wilted, another 3-5 minutes.  Remove from heat and serve!

(Sprinkle with cheese if you can!!!)
