Roasted Shiitake Mushrooms

Adapted from


1 container Shiitakes, rinsed w stems removed
1 clove garlic, sliced thin
1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
Olive oil
1/4 cup Water
2 Fresh thyme sprigs
1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes


Clean Shiitakes and remove stems.  Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Take small roasting dish and add water and vinegar.  Place mushrooms in dish and sprinkle with garlic, red pepper, salt and pepper.  Drizzle with olive oil and cover with aluminum foil.  Roast for 15 minutes, check amount of liquid and roast for another 15 minutes or so uncovered until mushrooms are plump, tender and have started to brown.   Enjoy!
